My heart goes out to all of the snowmen and snow-women who lost their lives today. The high temperature was in the low 50s, causing much of our beloved snow to melt, but overall it was a nice day. Skies were cloudy early on, but they parted to let some sunshine through in the afternoon. Winds remained fairly calm blowing at about 7-9 miles per hour from the northwest.
Tonight:
Temperatures will drop into the mid 30s with a low temperature near 35 degrees. There is a slight chance of rain (about 20%) after 1 a.m. as a cold front moves through the area. Skies will grow cloudy and stay that way overnight into tomorrow. Winds will remain calm, thankfully, blowing at about 7 miles per hour from the northwest.
Tomorrow (Friday):
Skies will be cloudy all day, and the high temperature will be near 44 degrees, which is colder than the day before due to the cold front passing through Thursday night. Winds will remain calm, blowing from the north at 3-6 miler per hour. Overnight, temperatures will drop down into the mid 30s with a low temperature near 35 degrees. There is a chance of rain after 1 a.m. as another low pressure system moves our direction.
A Look Ahead:
Saturday you can expect rain almost all day with a high temperature in the low 40s. The chance of precipitation is 90%, so much of our area will see a good amount of rain. Winds will remain calm throughout the day again with only a light breeze. Rain will continue into Sunday morning, but will clear out for the afternoon. High temperatures will reach up into the mid 60s, and as temperatures heat up, winds will pick up as well. Sunday afternoon is likely to be windy with high gusts at times, so make sure to factor this into any outdoor plans you may have.
