Morning Update: A Brisk Tuesday

Today:

Clouds will quickly build in this morning as a frontal system pushes away the high pressure that gave us bright and sunny skies the past few days. The high will reach 55 with a light breeze from the east coming in at 5 mph. Rain is unlikely but a stray light shower can’t be ruled out, especially in the evening.

Tonight:

Cloudy skies remain as chances for rain increase overnight as showers associated with a frontal system approach the region. Winds will calm and temperatures will drop into the low 40’s. Less then a tenth of an inch of rain is expected overnight.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Widespread showers cover the area all day Wednesday with heaviest rates occurring in the early afternoon. The high will reach 55 and the low will be 46. About half an inch of rain is expected Wednesday, be sure to dress appropriately when heading out!

A Look Ahead:

Thursday will be rainy as well as the cold front pushes through the area Thursday afternoon. An additional half an inch of rain is expected Thursday. Friday temperatures start to warm up and we’ll receive abundant sunshine. Temperatures continue warming though the weekend with highs in the 60’s.

Total rain accumulations through Thursday,  College Park is forecasted to receive 1-1.25″ (Via WPC)
