Morning Update: The Start of a Wet Week

Today:

With the threat of a small low pressure system to our southwest, we will expect precipitation to move into our area in the early morning hours with the likelihood for precipitation gradually increasing through the afternoon. Chilly temperatures in the morning will approach the high of 50 by midday and should remain steady into the night. Today may be our most unpleasant day of the week, so make sure you have your winter coat and umbrella ready to go before you head out.

Tonight:

Rain will continue to saturate our area and could be heavy at times as we move later into the night. Clouds will continue to blanket our area even after precipitation moves out during the early Wednesday morning hours. With warm air passing over the warm, saturated ground, be cautious for a light fog to form.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Light showers in the morning will give rise to cloudy conditions for the rest of the afternoon. Highs will reach the low 60s during the afternoon for possibly the last time before we dive into the winter season. Heading into the night, expect temperatures to drop into the high 40s with cloud cover persisting into Thursday.

A Look Ahead:

As we move through the final weeks of this fall season, we can expect more cold rain to shower our region with a few days of sunshine here and there. The pattern of above average temperatures will continue for the rest of the week before we experience a cool down from a blast of cold, Canadian air the following week, just in time for a (hopefully) white Christmas.
