Evening Update: Warm Storm to Shake the Dorms

In classic rock and roll fashion we are starting off the week with November Rain (Guns N’ Roses). It was raining this morning, making the walk to class unpleasant, but it started to lighten up around noon. Luckily we will see some sunshine this week. Gun’s N’ Roses said it best, “nothin’ lasts forever, even cold November rain.”

Tonight:

Drizzle will continue into the evening, accompanied by a slight chance for rain throughout the night. The chance of precipitation is 30%. Skies will remain cloudy, and the low temperature will drop into the lower 50s. A light north breeze will stick around, blowing at about 5 mph.

Tomorrow (Tuesday):

There will be patchy drizzle in the morning before 11 am, and there will be showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will remain into the evening as a cold front moves through the area. Skies will once again be cloudy, and the high temperature will reach into the upper 60s. Winds will be from the southeast, ranging from 6-13 mph and gusting up to 20 mph.

Tomorrow there is a possibility of severe thunderstorms in most of Maryland (via the Weather Prediction Center).

A Look Ahead:

Finally the November rain will end. High pressure will follow the cold front that will move through Tuesday night, bringing clear skies Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will drop slightly, but remain fairly mild. Friday rain will return again as another low pressure system and cold front moves through, which will bring cold temperatures for the weekend.
