Today is April 10th and we are still shivering as we leave in the morning. When will it warm up? High temperatures hovering around the mid 50s today is still below average for this time of the year by about 10 degrees. However, the trend of chilly April days is expected to come to a hold later this week as warmer temperatures fill in the area. An interesting note is that although we may be seeing 80s later this week, we last reached 80 degrees on February 21st…go figure!
Tonight:
Tonight will require a sweater or heavier jacket as low temperatures will drop into the mid 30s for our area. Light winds around 5 mph will continue to blow from the north. The skies are expected to remain mostly clear and favorable for stargazing.
Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Hump day will be similar to today, but tomorrow will be a precursor for our pleasant warm up later this week. High temperatures will rise to the upper 50s for the surrounding suburbs and may reach 60 for the city. Wind direction will be to the west, and shift more to the south as the day goes on.
