The Nor’easter that moved through our area last night and today could have been one of our last chances to get any significant snowfall this winter. Unfortunately, the system barely impacted our region, leaving us with only a tiny glimmer of snow late last night, followed by rain. The New England region had much more snow accumulation, making us snow lovers at UMD Weather very jealous! Not sure I’ll ever Let it Go…
Tonight:
There is a chance of showers before 7pm, but it is likely we won’t see any more rain today. After 7pm skies will become partly cloudy, gradually clearing throughout the night. Temperatures are expected to drop into the lower 30s with light westerly winds. It will definitely feel like winter outside, so be sure to bundle up if you have any late night plans.
Tomorrow (Thursday):
The sun will make an appearance! Throughout the day it will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the low-to-mid 40s. It will be breezier than today with Westerly winds 10-15 mph, gusting up into the 20-25 mph range. The wind will die off into the evening with skies becoming mostly cloudy overnight. Overall, it will be a fairly mild winter day.
A Look Ahead:
Throughout the rest of this week temperatures will remain pretty chilly, make sure to bundle up to stay warm. Friday and Saturday will be similar to Thursday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 40s. On Sunday, another system may affect our area, so that will be something to keep an eye on as the week progresses. Keep in mind spring break is only a week and a half away! Stay tuned to UMD Weather for all weather updates that may impact your travel plans.
