Did you take advantage of the balmy weather? Highs reached 72 degrees once the sun finally broke out from behind the clouds around 1 p.m. this afternoon. It’s the perfect evening to get a last minute outdoor workout but take advantage of the dry weather fast because rain is eyeing our area.
Through Tonight:
Clouds and rain will take over the mild weather this evening as a low pressure system creeps closer into College Park. Heavy rain will take over later tonight after 10 p.m., so be sure to have the umbrellas handy. Lows will dip into the mid-to-upper 50s so the above-average temperatures will continue. Winds will pick up later tonight with gusts reaching up to 20 mph.
Tomorrow (Friday):
The raindrops shall continue, terps. Not only will it be quite wet but the warm taste of spring weather will be no more. Our high temperature for the day will be in the upper 50s and, if we’re lucky, we may see the 60-degree mark. Winds will be breezy with gusts as high as 26 mph. Rain amounts could be up to half an inch. If you’ve got rain boots, you’ll want to wear them before heading out the door.
This rain will be nothing compared to what we see this weekend. We’ll have a battle of the seasons starting on Saturday as sunshine gives way to increasing clouds and even snow. On top of that white stuff, a wintry mix will be on the way through early Sunday morning. Stay dry and warm!
