PM Update: Did someone say encore? Another beautiful day in store for tomorrow.

Spring is officially in full swing as temperatures soared up to 80 degrees today under sunny skies. This is all thanks to high pressure moving off the coast and causing warm winds to flow in from the south. Tuesday will feature almost identical weather before a cold front pushes through later tomorrow night.

High pressure off the coast is causing warm southerly winds to blow across the area.

Through Tonight:

Tonight will be calm and mild. Skies will remain mostly clear and winds will continue to flow in from the south at 5-10 mph. Temperatures won’t drop too far and will settle in the mid-50s. The average low for this time of year is in the mid-40s.

Tomorrow (Tuesday):

Early morning temperatures will be comfortable and around 60. They will then rise into the lower 80s under an abundance of sunshine. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. It looks like a great day to enjoy some fresh air and catch the Terrapin baseball game when they play West Virginia at 4:00 pm.

Our TerpWRF HD model shows temperatures in the low 80s around 4 pm tomorrow. (Via Trowal)
