Good luck with finals, Terps! With all the rainy and (overall) miserable weather for reading day, we will bring our take on this week’s finals so you all know what to expect.
Thursday, May 15
Some of the miserable weather moves out of the way on Thursday. Any nighttime storms should move out of our area in the late morning. Look forward to a break from the clouds in the afternoon! Patches of sunlight will let temperatures rise into the lower 80s. It’s still looking to be pretty humid, so make sure to dress comfortably. Winds are not looking to be a big issue; expect breezes around 5 mph. We’re not likely to run into any rain throughout the day, but don’t rule out the possibility of a few passing drizzles.
For anyone commuting to campus in the early morning, the roads may still be slightly wet from the overnight showers. Be sure to allocate a couple of extra minutes to your commute in case you run into some slower traffic than usual.
Friday, May 16
Be prepared for hot and humid conditions! Expect lots of very warm and humid air moving into our area. Temperatures heat up into the low 80s by noon and reach an afternoon high in the upper 80s. With the humidity, temperatures could probably feel even warmer (low 90s). Some chances for passing showers throughout the day, but you’re most likely to encounter a few light showers after noon. Some slight chances of thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon, but chances could change as we approach Friday.

Saturday, May 17
Expect some sun with chances of showers throughout the day. Temperatures remain pretty warm, with a daytime high in the late afternoon in the mid to upper 80s. Some afternoon breezes in the 5 to 10 mph range are expected, as well. A cold front passes through our area in the afternoon/evening, which could bring some showers and some possible thunderstorms. Conditions could change between now and then, so keep an eye out for any changing forecasts as we approach Saturday.
That all being said, make sure you get sleep, take breaks, study hard, eat well, and take care of yourself! You all will do great.
