Morning Update: A Warm Start to Finals Week

Today:

For the last day of our last full week of classes, we will unfortunately be seeing rain throughout the day. Morning temperatures start in the mid to upper 50s and stay relatively constant throughout the day, peaking in the high 50s. By the early evening, temperatures will gradually dip down into the low 50s. Winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight:

Showers from the day will start to taper off throughout the evening, with the possibility of a stray thunderstorm. Low temperatures will be in the low high 40s, with winds in the 5 to 10 mph range.

Saturday:

Any remnants of the rain from today will leave by Saturday, giving way to sunny skies throughout the day. The morning will start off a little chilly, with temperatures in the high 40s to low 50s. Temperatures will quickly climb into the 60s and peak at a daytime high in the low 70s. Winds will be in the 10 to 15 mph range, with some gusts that could pass 20 mph.

Looking Ahead:

High temperatures will warm up for our finals week and range throughout the mid 70s to low 80s. While this weekend and early next week stay dry, showers may return to the area starting Tuesday.

Here is the low pressure system sitting directly over our region for the entirety of today, bringing with it steady showers.

This will be my last article for the semester, so good luck on finals, Terps! That’s all for today, have a great day, Terps!
