Today:
We are beginning the week with sunshine and warmth! Morning temperatures will start in the mid 40s and peak in the afternoon in the mid to high 60s. By the early evening, temperatures will continue to stay relatively warm in the mid 50s. Expect sunny skies and light and variable winds.
Tonight:
Temperatures overnight will be in the low 40s. Past midnight, temperatures will briefly dip into the mid to high 30s. Similar to the daytime, expect light and variable winds and clear conditions.
Tuesday:
The sunny skies and warming trend will persist today, with temperatures starting in the low 40s. In the afternoon, we will quickly warm up to the high 60s and possibly low 70s! Early evening temperatures will dip back into the mid 50s to lower 60s. Winds will be light and variable once again.
Looking Ahead:
Daytime high temperatures will stay in the upper 50s to lower 60s range throughout the rest of the week. Evening temperatures will stay in the 40s. We will also continue to see dry, sunny conditions.
Discussion:
For our week before spring break, nothing too exciting is happening weather-wise (besides these amazing spring-like high temperatures!). These warm temperatures are a product of the sustained high pressure system that hovers over our area throughout the week. Low pressure systems and cold fronts will come and go to the south of us, so we won’t see much precipitation for the next couple of days.

Here is what the pressure values are looking like tomorrow. Although there is no blue “H” over our area, we still have high pressure! The black contours on the maps are called isobars, which are lines of constant pressure (or, in other words, where the pressure is the same throughout an area). Near Maryland, pressure values are still about 1014 mb (indicated by the pink box), which is high!
