Today:
Skies will start out partly cloudy and completely clear up early afternoon. Temperatures will be similar to yesterday with highs in the upper 60’s. Humidity will be extremely low with dew points in the mid 20’s. Dry air combined with a strong 15 mph gusting to 30 mph wind from the west will bring an increased risk of wildfires across the greater area. The greater area is under a fire watch through this evening, though this is just precautionary.
The Fire watch will be over the entire NWS Baltimore-Washington jurisdiction (Image courtesy NOAA and NWS)
Tonight:
After sunset, winds will completely calm and skies will remain crystal clear. Lows will drop into the upper 40’s.
Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Temperatures warm significantly, as highs could hit 80 Wednesday. Not a cloud in the sky all day long. A strong breeze will blow from the west at 10 mph gusting past 15 mph.
A Look Ahead:
The work week will finish out blazing hot with highs right around 90 Thursday and Friday. The weekend will be rainy and windy, a sharp decrease in temperature can be expected between Saturday and Sunday. Over a half an inch of rain is forecast. Next week looking to me much more mild with highs in the low 60’s.
