Morning Update: A Stormy Thursday

Today:

The day will start off partly cloudy and become cloudy by early afternoon. Temperatures will be nearly as warm as yesterday with highs around 85. Around 4 pm, a cold front will sweep in to the region bringing widespread thunderstorms. Although the chance of any severe storms will be low, heavy rainfall and gusty winds can still be expected. After the front moves through, showers will continue into the night. Total rain accumulations will be around a quarter of an inch.

Tonight:

Any lingering precipitation will have moved out by midnight but skies will remain cloudy. The low will drop down to 48 and a light breeze from the northwest will persist through the night.

Tomorrow (Friday):

Friday will be calm and cool. Cloudy skies all day will result in a high right around 60 with a 6-8 mph breeze from the northwest. The low will be 43. No rain expected Friday.

A Look Ahead:

Saturdays weather will be similar to Friday’s. Skies finally clear Sunday and the highs next week will gradually rise each day as we appear to be settling into a extended period of uneventful weather. The highs by the middle of next week are expected to be back in the 80s.
