Today: This is probably not the start to the week you were looking for, as it will be chilly and rainy for the majority of the morning, starting at around 38 degrees and remaining there for most of the day. There is a good chance of precipitation throughout the day, but models are unsure of when the showers will come, so just prepare for showers at some point in the day. Skies will also remain cloudy for most of the day, with the temperature never moving out of the mid 40s.
Tonight: With low pressure moving out into the Atlantic and high pressure to our west, a steep pressure gradient will cause for gusty winds tonight. The low temperature will be near 33, with wind chills dipping into the teens after midnight.
Tomorrow: A very windy day tomorrow with clear skies expected for most of the day. The high will be around where it was today, except it will feel much colder with the severe wind chill setting in. Winds could gust up to 50 mph throughout the day, getting stronger as the day goes on. Tomorrow night will be as bitter as it gets, with wind chills reaching deep into the low to mid teens overnight.
A Look Ahead: Winds will start to die off on Wednesday, with clear skies prevailing for the whole day. Temperatures will rise into the low 50s on Wednesday, making it probably the nicest day of the week thus far, although it will start below freezing. The weather will continue to get nicer as the week goes on and as the high pressure to our west moves into our area on Wednesday night. Thursday will be sunny without much wind and a high near 60 degrees. After much less cooling on Thursday night, Friday should remain in the 50s and 60s for the majority of the day. Saturday will bring rain and then another cooling down to winter temperatures again.
