Today: It will be a chilly start to the day, with temperatures falling to near freezing overnight. The air will not warm up much over the course of the day, with a high of around 50. Your day will be impacted by some degree of rain, most likely in the midmorning to early afternoon hours. The highest chance for rain is in the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clouds will remain after the rain passes, and winds should be in the range of 5-10 mph.
Tonight: As a warm front moves in tonight, temperatures will remain in the mid 40s for most of the night. There is a chance for rain in the early evening around 7 or 8 p.m., and then again in the early morning hours. Temperatures will begin to rise after midnight, leading to a very warm start tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow: Unseasonably warm temperatures will prevail tomorrow, as the low pressure system we are encountering today will have passed to our north. Sunshine and nearly sweltering temperatures will be the story of the day, as the high is 80 degrees, which would be a record for tomorrow for our area, breaking last year’s record of 73 degrees on this day. Make sure not to bundle up tomorrow! It will be a perfect day to spend some time outside, and these temperatures will not last long.
A Look Ahead: A high pressure system will briefly move nearby on Friday, bringing mild temperatures around 50 degrees and dry conditions. It will be windy, and temperatures will drop below freezing overnight. There is a chance for a mix of rain and snow on Saturday with the low temperatures. There most likely will not be much, if any, accumulation as temperatures will remain at the threshold between freezing and not freezing, so there is potential for the event to just bring cold rain to our area.
