Morning Update: A Warm but Wet Thursday

Today:

A warm front will move into the area this morning bring a southernly breeze and widespread rain. The day will start out cloudy and rain will move into the area early afternoon and will continue for the rest of the day. Rain will be light to moderate with totals around a quarter of an inch. The high will be near 70 and winds from the south will blow around 5-10 mph.

Tonight:

Rain will become intermittent overnight as light winds from the south remain steady. The low will be 65. Rain accumulation will be less than a tenth of an inch.

Tomorrow (Friday):

Rain will pick up early morning as a strong cold front moves into our region. All rain should be out of the areas by early afternoon Friday. By that time winds will shift to the northwest and increase to around 15 mph gusting into the 20s. The high Friday is 65, however that temperature will occur early morning, before the cold front moves in. Temperatures will drop steadily after that and by 4pm Friday the temperatures will have dropped 15 degrees down to around 50. Low temps Friday will be in the low 30s and upper 20s so don’t let that high of 65 fool you and be sure to bundle up if you go out Friday night!
