Morning Update: A Much Cooler (But Still Nice) Tuesday

Today:

Temperatures will be significantly cooler today as a result of a cold front that quietly pushed through the area Monday afternoon. The high will get up to 60. Expect clear skies and blustery conditions, with winds out of north at 10-14 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. No precipitation is expected.

Tonight:

Skies will remain clear and conditions dry overnight. The northerly wind will calm down to around 6-8 mph and the low will be 40.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Wednesday will bring a similar temperature and the winds will calm as the high pressure north of us moves out. The high will be 59 with a low of 44 and some clouds coming in overnight. No precipitation is expected Wednesday.

A Look Ahead:

The second half of the week will get interesting. By Friday the moisture from tropical storm, soon forecast to become Hurricane Nicole will make its way along the eastern seaboard. Expect a very wet Friday and Saturday with rainfall totals as high as three inches in our area. Immediately after Nicole moves our we will be slammed with an intense artic cold front. We can expect much below average temperatures for this time of year beginning early next week. Whether its fortunate or unfortunate, it’s still a little too early to be thinking about snow.
