Evening Update: Rain Rain Rain

April showers have arrived late. We had a few showers this afternoon, and today is only the start of a soggy stretch of days. It will be a great time to continue to procrastinate studying for finals!

Tonight:

We will remain mostly dry this evening, but a chance of showers will stick around. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the night, and the low temperature will be 63 degrees. Tonight will be a good night for going out with your friends, as the clouds will act like a blanket keeping the night warm.

Tomorrow (Friday):

One of the last Friday’s of the semester! Showers are likely throughout the day with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day with a high temperature of 78 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 60%, so bring an umbrella or a raincoat with you to class to keep your notes dry.

This forecast chart from the National Weather Service shows conditions expected on Friday morning. Rain associated with an approaching cold front will overtake most of the region.

Tomorrow Night:

Unfortunately, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening. The chance of precipitation is 40%. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, and the overnight low temperature will be 59 degrees.

A Look Ahead:

This weekend, showers will stick around. Saturday there is a chance of showers but only a 30% chance of precipitation, so hopefully we will stay mostly dry. However, rain is forecast to start up again in the early morning hours of Sunday. Showers will be likely throughout the day. Skies will be cloudy throughout the weekend, and temperatures will peak in the mid-to-upper 60s.
