Evening Update: A Break from the Cold as Terps Hold out for Next Week’s Spring Break

There was not a cloud in the sky today in College Park, and it appears as though after March came in like a lion last week, it is already going to go out like a lamb. These temperatures may not be quite as warm as the tropical destinations some Terps may be traveling to for spring break next week, but at least we can find some comfort in the fact that they are some 20 to 30 degrees warmer than last week.

Tonight:

High pressure will build tonight, making for a clear and dry night with light winds from the north. These conditions are ideal for radiational cooling, so the overnight low will be around 31 degrees.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Tomorrow will be another sunny day, but slightly warmer than today with a high near 56 degrees. Winds will be calm, and after the morning will come from the south at 5 to 9 mph.

Tomorrow Night:

Clouds will roll in tomorrow night as the high pressure system will move offshore. The low will be around 42 degrees, and winds will come from the south at 5 to 7 mph.
