Evening Update: Rain Again

Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down, and today was a combination of both. It was a soggy day on campus with high temperatures only in the mid 60s. Fall has begun to make its presence known in our area, but for how long?

Tonight:

You can expect rain to continue into tonight with some periods of light drizzle. Temperatures will drop down into the lower 60s overnight, not much cooler than it was during the day. The breeze will also stick around, coming from the East at 8 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow (Tuesday):

Surprise! It’s rain again. Rain is expected to continue into the mid afternoon and then lighten up. Skies will remain cloudy throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 70s, killing the fall vibes mother nature was sending us today. The low temperature overnight will be in the upper 60s, similar to the daytime high temperatures these past couple days.

This figure shows the predominant weather forecast for 11 am tomorrow, September 25th; rain is expected in College Park (via The National Weather Service).

A Look Ahead:

Warmer temperatures will remain through Wednesday, and drop ever so slightly into the low to mid 70s for the end of the work week. The chance for rain and showers will also stick around until Thursday when the rain begins to clear up. This weekend is shaping up to be a good one so far, sunny and not too hot. It will be great for any outdoor activities on campus!
