Evening Update: Brief Break from Blustery Weather Tomorrow

Happy Tuesday! Yet another tease at meaningful snowfall for the DMV this morning was followed by a brisk day. To make matters worse, today was accompanied by a bitter and unforgiving wind chill, making freezing temperatures feel closer to the 20 degree mark. Bundle up tonight if you decide to venture out, while tomorrow provides us with more seasonable, but still chilly, January weather.

Through Tonight:

Scattered clouds throughout the day will exit the area, giving us mostly clear skies tonight. The howling winds out of the northwest we saw earlier in the day will calm down, but still range from 8-15 mph overnight. These conditions will make for yet another cold winter night as we drop to the upper teens.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Not a cloud in the sky as high pressure dominates our region into tomorrow. Expect hump day to climb back into the upper 30s and lower 40s across our region. Generally light and variable winds will be more of a non-factor tomorrow, keeping an otherwise cool day more comfortable.
