Ready. Set. Autumn! That’s what seems to have happened overnight thanks to a strong cold front. After weeks of above average temperatures in the DMV, Mother Nature has finally granted us access to sweater weather.
Through Tonight
Temperatures will steadily drop this evening down into the lower 40s for the first time this October. The sun is setting earlier and earlier this time of year, helping the mercury to drop quicker during the evening, so be sure to bring a jacket to dinner. Frost Advisories and scattered Freeze Warnings extend across the northwestern suburbs of Maryland and through the Appalachians and Northeast tonight. Expect clear skies and winds at 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow (Tuesday)
You’ll need an extra layer for those early morning classes as temperatures will begin rising out of the mid-40s after sunrise. Sunshine will be the only thing up ahead with the exception of a few puffy clouds as a high pressure holds steady in our area. The mercury will only reach into the lower 60s making it truly feel like mid-October. Winds will stay calm throughout the day.
