Evening Update: Cool Dreary Conditions to Close the Week

Today felt more like fall as we had a cooler grey day filled overcast and drizzle. Far cry from the 80 degree weather we felt just a few days ago! The temperatures struggled to reach the low 60s as there were some breezy conditions.

Through Tonight:

Overcast and drizzle conditions with possible spotty showers will continue throughout tonight that will limit the temperature drop.  The lows tonight will only fall to the mid to upper 50s.  Patchy fog will develop by early morning.  Winds will settle down slightly to around 7-11 mph from the east.

Tomorrow (Friday):

Tomorrow will continue the dreary streak with a thick blanket of clouds with patchy fog in the morning.  High temperatures will be hampered again only reaching the low to mid 60s.  Winds will be from the northwest at 6-9 mph.  There is a chance that there will some showers, but overall any precipitation will be light.  Lows tomorrow night will stay in the mid to upper 50s.

Tropical Update:

Hurricane Ophelia, the tenth hurricane of the season churns as a weak category 1 storm in the central-east Atlantic, poses no threat to the United States, but could impact Ireland early next week, believe it or not. Ever heard that previous sentence before? Probably not. There are no system under watch for major tropical development.
