February is here already, and many of us are wondering…where has the snow been this winter? Better yet, when will we see that blockbuster snow event that many of us are waiting for? We are way below our seasonal average in College Park, but February looks favorable to make up for the lack of powder we have received so far. We were eyeing a potentially major winter storm on Super Bowl Sunday, but the models do not look as impressive as they once were. We will not rule out some snowflakes though. Make sure to check back with us this weekend to see what’s in store for Sunday.

For Tonight:
Throughout the evening, clouds will continue to blanket the region and gradually clear away by sunrise tomorrow. Temperatures should straddle the freezing mark throughout the night as winds remain light and variable.
Tomorrow (Thursday):
The weak disturbance that generated clouds today will have exited, giving way to sunnier skies tomorrow. Temperatures are forecasted to be right on par with our average for this time of year, in the low 40s for our area. Watch out though. Winds will pick up throughout the day, gusting to over 20 mph!
