Morning Update: Another Chilly and Windy Day

Today: Bundle up warmly if you plan on heading out early this morning, as temperatures will be below freezing and the wind chill will be very close to 10 degrees. The wind will be gusting around 30-40 mph throughout the day, slowly decreasing as the day goes on. It should warm up rather quickly as the morning continues, but the chilly wind coming out of the northwest will put a damper on any warming that occurs. Skies will be clear and sunny again today, but the biting wind from yesterday will remain.

Tonight: Winds will have lessened (relatively) to gusts around 20 mph by this evening. The low will be 32 degrees overnight, with clear skies and winds continuing to decrease.

Tomorrow: A much more pleasant day will be in store tomorrow, although with yet another chilly start below freezing. As high pressure moves into our area, the extreme winds we have experienced over the past few days will have mostly died down. Skies will be sunny for most of the day, and the temperature will reach 60 degrees by the afternoon, this time without any wind chill. Overall, if you have any outdoor plans for this week, tomorrow would be the best day for them once it warms up in the morning.

A Look Ahead: Friday will continue this warm and sunny trend for the most part, as the high will be near 70 degrees and sunny skies will prevail for most of the daylight hours. As the sun starts to set around 5 or 6 p.m. on Friday, the potential for rain will increase and clouds will have moved into the area. The chance for rain will continue through the night on Friday and most likely will taper off in the midmorning hours on Saturday. Saturday will be cooler but sunnier, with a high of about 50. Sunday will drop us right back down to winter temperatures, with a high of 43 degrees, but there is no chance of rain on Sunday night as there was earlier in the week.
