Morning Update: Punxsutawney Phil Was Wrong!

Today: Unseasonally warm temperatures will prevail today, with highs around 70 degrees. The beginning of your day may be slightly chilly but the temperature will never dip below 45 degrees for the entire day. Despite this, there is a chance for showers in the morning and cloud cover will be thick to begin with then dwindle as the day progresses. It will also be windy throughout the day, with gusts up to 25 mph and a steady wind in the realm of 10 mph. Overall, it should be a pleasant day for outdoor activities, especially in the early to mid afternoon.

Tonight: Nighttime lows will only be around 50 degrees, as temperatures will remain extremely mild over the next couple days. However, a cold front will be moving in shortly around Thursday evening, so be sure to enjoy the warm weather outside while you can. It will remain windy tonight, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Another day with unexpectedly mild temperatures, with a high in the upper 60s. However, there is a greater chance of rain especially in the afternoon as a cold front begins to make its way towards us. Rain is likely from 1 p.m. onwards, with showers beginning to let up slightly in the evening hours. They will not let up for long, as rain will begin again very early on Friday morning.

A Look Ahead: Rain in the morning on Friday clearing up as the day progresses. Temperatures will drop steadily throughout the day leading into a chillier weekend. The lows on Friday and Saturday will be in the upper 20s. Friday afternoon and Saturday will be dry. Sunday will see a rebound in temperature, as it will again rise above the seasonal norms for this month with a high in the mid 50s.
