Today:
High pressure building in overnight will lead to a dry and mostly sunny Tuesday. Highs will reach the upper 50’s and winds will be light and variable. The ample sunshine and negligible winds should make it a pleasant day to be outside.

Tonight:
Clouds will come in overnight while lows drop to the low to mid 40’s. A weak shortwave trough will bring a marginal chance for light rain in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Chance of rain around 30% with minimal accumulation expected. Light winds will shift to the south overnight.
Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Wednesday will be even warmer than Tuesday. Clouds will clear throughout the morning giving way to a partly cloudy day. Highs will reach the upper 60s and possibly even 70 in some areas as a southern wind picks up throughout the day. Winds will get up to 10 mph during late afternoon. Temperatures will come a few degrees within breaking the daily record. Wednesday night, winds will calm and cloud cover will gradually increase. Lows will drop to the mid 50’s. No rain is expected Wednesday
A look ahead:
Thursday and Friday will be warm and wet as a powerful midlatitude cyclone forecasted to bring severe weather over the Southern U.S. and Ohio Valley approaches our region. Although severe weather is very unlikely in the area, gusty winds and heavy rain can be expected as the surface cold front associated with this system approaches our area. Heaviest rain and winds will likely occur Friday morning and early afternoon. After that, temperatures will drop significantly but will remain above average for a dry and mostly clear weekend.
