Morning Update: A Mild Start to December

Today:

December kicks off with temperatures a few degrees above average today, as high temps get into the low 50s by mid-afternoon. Cloud cover should be minimal to start the day but then picks up as we head into the late afternoon and early evening hours. Winds will be light at 3-5 mph out of the west-southwest.

Tonight:

An approaching warm front from the south will bring mostly overcast skies with a slight chance of light rain showers overnight as well. Due to that warm front, temperatures won’t drop too much as low temps only get down into the mid 40s. Winds will remain light at 3-5 mph out of the southwest.

Tomorrow (Thursday):

The warmth will definitely be noticeable on Thursday as high temperatures get 10-12 degrees above what is typical for this time of year, with some spots getting into the low 60s by the afternoon. Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, though no precipitation is expected. Unlike Wednesday, Thursday will be much breezier with winds at 10-12 mph, and gusts up to 25 mph, out of the southwest.

Tomorrow Night:

Not much change in the overall conditions overnight, as temperatures remain fairly mild with low temps only down getting into the mid 40s once again. Skies will gradually clear throughout the night while winds die down a bit and begin to turn a little more westerly.

A Look Ahead:

A relatively weak cold front moves through Friday morning but high temperatures remain in the 50s even through Sunday. Overall looks like a pretty pleasant weekend with clear skies and mild temps. Looking ahead to early next week, a storm system looks to move through Monday, bringing very breezy conditions on that day.
