Morning Update: TGIF

Today:

It will be a rainy and chilly start to the day. Heavy rain will be moving through the area today with a slight chance of thunderstorms ahead of a cold front. Chance of precipitation is 70%. By 1 p.m., rain chances will diminish with clouds gradually clearing. The high today will be 64 degrees before the temperature begins to drop following the front. Winds will be from the South at 6 to 9 mph.

Tonight:

It will be a chilly night here in College Park. Temperatures will drop down to 43 degrees with clear conditions. Winds will be light and variable.

Tomorrow (Saturday):

The morning will begin with a slight chance of showers between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a few breaks in the clouds. Temperatures will struggle to reach 60. Winds will become stronger later in the morning at 8 to 13 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph.

A Look Ahead:

The rest of the weekend and beginning of the week looks great yet it will be cold! Skies will remain clear with temperatures reaching the low 50s during the day and dropping to the mid 30s at night. The next chance of rain looks to be the end of next week.
