Morning Update: Gameday

Today: It will be a cold start to both spooky season and family weekend. This morning will be clear and crisp, starting out in the upper 40s to low 50s. By the afternoon it will stay sunny with a high around 72 degrees with winds from the north at 3 to 7 mph. High pressure to our northwest will keep the sky clear and continue blowing in cool and dry air for the remainder of the day, keeping dew points in the mid 40s. Temperatures will begin to drop around 5 p.m.

Tonight: It will be a chilly night in College Park awaiting the Maryland vs. Iowa blackout football game. The low will be around 52 degrees. The wind will taper out as the sun goes down, becoming calm.

Tomorrow (Saturday): Very similar to today but warmer. The high is forecasted to be around 78 degrees with a low in the mid to upper 50s. The humidity will increase following the warm air with light winds around 4 mph from the southwest.

A Look Ahead: As the high pressure moves to our east, warmer and muggier air will move in behind, bringing with it clouds and raising the chance of rain to around 30% on Sunday and up to a 60% chance on Monday.
