Morning Update: Doom and Gloom, But Without The Doom

Today:

Overcast skies should greet us in the morning, followed by intermittent showers throughout the day. These showers shouldn’t be too heavy early on but will likely increase in intensity as we head into the late afternoon and evening. Temps will start out fairly mild in the low 60s in the late morning-early afternoon but it should cool off into the high 50s in accordance with those late afternoon showers. Winds should remain steady out of the south-southwest at 4-6 mph ahead of an approaching low pressure from the southwest. The high will be 63 degrees.

Tonight:

Lingering precipitation is possible through the night as a cold front makes its way through the area in the early morning hours, though this precipitation will likely be nothing more than light rain or drizzle. Winds should shift to the west-northwest at 4-6 mph in accordance with the passing of the cold front. The low will be 52 degrees.

Tomorrow (Thursday):

Some light drizzle in the morning is possible as mostly cloudy conditions remain through the morning and afternoon. Skies should begin to clear up around the early evening, but not before another slight chance of brief showers makes its way through . It’ll be quite blustery out there as well with winds increasing out of the northwest to 12-14 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in the late afternoon. The high will be 63.

Tomorrow Night:

Right on the heels of the previous front, another even stronger cold front is expected to pass through in the evening, though no precipitation is expected overnight with the passing of this one. Mostly clear skies are expected as well. Winds will remain steady out of the northwest at 8-10 mph. The low will be 43 degrees.

A Look Ahead:

High temperatures for the weekend look to be fairly cool for this time of year, as they aren’t expected to get much above 60. Though it looks to be fairly dry and sunny this weekend so it may be a great time to enjoy some time outside if you can.
