Morning Update: A Warm Week Ahead

Today:

Sunday will kick the week off to a warm and wet start. Early morning rain showers will pave the way for afternoon thunderstorms. These thunderstorms will most likely be non-severe according to the Storm Prediction Center’s outlook. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s throughout the day, which will combine with all the moisture in the air to produce a very muggy afternoon.

Tonight:

Any thunderstorms in the area will die down before the evening. However, there will be a small chance of rain showers until after midnight. The region will cool significantly overnight, leading to temperatures in the low to mid 50s.

Tomorrow (Monday):

There will be a small chance of rain showers Monday afternoon, but Monday will most likely be a calm, sunny day with temperatures in the low 70s. A light westerly breeze will persist throughout the day, so Monday afternoon would be the perfect opportunity to stretch out on a hammock if you have one. Clouds will move into the area Monday night, but no rain is expected. Temperatures will dip into the low 50s overnight.

A Look Ahead:

The rest of the week is expected to remain dry and warm. It will alternate between sunny days and cloudy days. However, afternoon temperatures are expected to remain in the upper 60s until the weekend. The nightly lows will be in the upper 40s.
