Morning Update: The Last Taste of Summer?

Today:

It appears Thursday may be our last days of mid-70s weather. Make sure you spend as much time as you can out of quarantine running around in the sunshine before the cool Fall weather sweeps in. Expect skies to be clear and rain to be a nonfactor all day.

Tonight:

As the sun falls, temperatures will drop at a rapid rate to a low in the mid-50s. This rapid drop can be accounted for by the lack of clouds around dusk. With no clouds to reflect radiation, Earth’s heat will escape easily. If you have a late-night softball game like me, the wind’s will be negligible so you’ll have no excuse if you strikeout.

Tomorrow (Friday):

If Thursday and Friday were related (or lovers *gross*) they’d be Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow. Essentially, while Thursday was hot and vibrant, Friday will be cold and somber. Don’t expect temperatures to get over 60 degrees and clouds will likely dominate the skies.

A Look Ahead:

Going forward, we should be met with a relatively pleasant fall weekend, with clear skies and high-50 degree temperatures on Saturday and mid-60 degree temperatures on Sunday. Additionally, a front is rolling over Appalachia Friday, but most of the rain will be dumped over the mountains, so expect a fairly dry weekend.
