Today:
Bring the umbrella out the door as periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected throughout the entire day. Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts possible. A Flood Watch goes into effect at 1 p.m. Despite the rain, temperatures will warm to a mild 53 degrees F for the high. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph.
Tonight:
The Flood Watch expires at 7 p.m. as the heaviest rain ends, but lighter rain and showers will continue overnight. An additional half to three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected. Winds will continue out of the south at 5-10 mph, allowing the low temperature to only dip to 50 degrees F.
Tomorrow (Friday):
Another wet day is expected to top off this already dreary week. Showers will persist, especially during the morning with a 70% chance for rain. Only about a quarter of an inch of rain is expected. Winds will pick up out of the northwest at around 15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph possible. Temperatures will peak around noon with a high of 55 degrees F before falling in the afternoon.
A Look Ahead:
Luckily things dry out for the weekend, but temperatures will be chiller, more what you would expect for early February. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid 40s with lows in the 30s. A stray rain or snow shower cannot be ruled out around daybreak Sunday.
