The Quiet Before The Storm

Today:

A great start to Halloween Week. We are looking at a great day today! Mid to high 60s with a light breeze, some true autumn weather. Clear skies throughout the day will let way to a lot of sunshine. This sunlight can really heat you up walking around campus. It may be useful to wear light layers to protect from the cold but will not make you sweat in the sun.

Tonight:

Growing cloud cover through the evening will keep the night pretty warm. Temperatures won’t even reach less than 50. It will be a good evening to stay out late for a walk around College Park. Heat will be trapped near the surface allowing you to wear only a light jacket.

Tomorrow (Tuesday):

Tomorrow will feel almost identical to today, but once you look up you will see the differences. Tuesday is looking cloudy as we start to see the effects of an incoming frontal system. It will be one of the last days for a while without needing your rain gear.

A Look Ahead:

It Gon’ Rain!

48hour precipitation total leading into Friday Night
From the GEM, WeatherBell Analytics

It looks like we are going to have a wet Halloween. Rain is expected from late Wednesday into Saturday morning while fronts converge overhead in the DMV area. Georgie from “IT” is looking like a great costume idea!
