Evening Update: Bright Sunny Day in College Park

Today was a beautiful day in College Park, with a nice breeze and a few clouds dotting the sky. Today’s temperature peaked at a high of 62, and winds ranged from 6 to 9 miles per hour. Hopefully, we’ll have more days ahead like today, and temperatures will continue to increase.

Tonight:

Looking into tonight, temperatures will likely dip down below average for a spring night. We’re looking at a low of 30 degrees by tomorrow morning, so you’ll still need a jacket if you plan on heading out. Clouds will build up as the night progresses leading to mostly cloudy skies. Expect winds to range from 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tomorrow (Thursday):

For tomorrow, expect temperatures to be higher than today, perhaps hitting a high of 68 degrees. Winds should be close to today’s range of about 6 to 10 miles per hour. This might be the only day this week or next that we see temperatures this high.

A Look Ahead:

Looking into the week ahead, we’re expecting rain Friday and possibly some thunderstorms as a cold front sweeps the east coast. For now, it looks like we’ll be expecting about 0.25 to 0.5 inches of rain. Image courtesy of the Weather Prediction Center.
