Evening Update: Calm and Sunny Conditions to Counter Fierce Winds

Today was especially calm after the high winds yesterday that caused thousands of power outages in the DC area. Today’s temperatures are actually slightly below average for today’s date, but with both calm winds and sunny temperatures, today’s mild temperatures still had many College Park residents longing for spring.

Tonight:

High pressure will build to our north tonight, making for partly cloudy skies, dry conditions, and a low temperature around 28 degrees. Winds will come from the northeast at around 7 mph.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

Tomorrow will be partly sunny as the high pressure remains over our region. The high temperature will be near 42 degrees, and winds from the northeast at around 7 mph will become southeast in the afternoon as the high pressure system moves out.

Tomorrow Night:

A weak low pressure system will move over our area tomorrow evening. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and the low temperature will be around 35 degrees. Winds from the southeast at 6 mph will become light and variable over the course of the night.
