“Rain, rain, go away” is what all of us were singing today as we headed to the polls. On this election day, the showers were abundant and lasted well into the afternoon. A severe thunderstorm warning and a flood warning were issued for our area due to the rapid and heavy rains. There were periods of patchy fog and wind gusts with a high temperature of 66 degrees.
Tonight:
Tonight the rain will subside and the sky will be mostly clear as a high pressure system begins to form over the area. Temperatures will drop, with a low of 47. It’s going to be a chilly evening, so stay bundled up! Winds will come from the west at about 7 miles per hour.
Tomorrow (Wednesday):
The sun will come out tomorrow, for perhaps the first time this week. Despite the high pressure system, some clouds will remain but overall conditons will be mostly sunny with a high of 63 degrees. Winds will come from the west and shift to come from the southwest later in the afternoon. We can expect a very slight chance for some sprinkles in the afternoon.
A Look Ahead:
The high pressure system will continue into Thursday. We can expect dry weather and similar conditions to Wednesday, with some chance for showers in the evening.
