Another rainy Monday means many Terps are trekking across campus with umbrellas in tow. Today will be the warmest day of the week, just missing 70 degrees with a high in the upper 60s. Rain will linger through the rest of the day, so be prepared for some showers if you’re headed to the Midnight Mile tonight.
Tonight:
A cold front will be moving through tonight. The rainy trend will extend into the early morning, and we cannot rule out the chance for a thunderstorm. Winds will be light, and the low temperature will be in the lower 50s. Overall, it sounds like a perfect night to stay inside and watch your favorite Netflix show or catch up on that last-minute homework assignment. If you are planning to head out tonight, make sure you keep that umbrella with you.
Tomorrow (Tuesday):
The rain will move out of the area, bringing sunshine to College Park. A high temperature of about 60 degrees and mild winds will create a pleasant fall day. The walk to class will be drier, but you may want to bring a light jacket as it is not summer anymore.
Tomorrow Night:
Clouds will roll in and winds will be light. It will feel a bit chilly and temperatures will fall into the upper 40s, so wear a light jacket if you will be out and about. While it will be on the colder side, it will also be dry, which is something to celebrate.
A Look Ahead:
Terps have been eagerly waiting for fall weather, and this upcoming week will deliver. Although today was a bit dreary, the rest of the week is looking sunny with high temperatures around 60 degrees. Feel free to indulge in your favorite fall things whether it’s flannel or pumpkin everything. Now that the weather is finally feeling like fall, we can only hope the leaves will start to change color soon!
