Evening Update: Autumn!

After a week of warm and humid weather, we are finally having some cooler, drier air in College Park. Although the air feels chilly, you can still feel the warmth of the sunshine after the sun came out of the cloudy sky. It is that time to dig out your favorite sweatshirts, cardigans, and jackets!

Tonight:

Tonight our temperature will start from around 59 at 5 p.m., with a low temperature that could drop all the way to the lower 40s. Some cloud cover will clear out later at night and we will have little chance of precipitation.

Tomorrow (Sunday):

Sunday weather will stay more or less the same, with a high around 59 degrees in the afternoon. However, we might get some cloud cover, which will block the sunlight and make it feel cooler. Do not go out without a jacket!

A look ahead:

On Monday we are getting some moisture from a low pressure system in the South, so expect some precipitation and a little higher temperature. The rest of the week will be dry and cool, and we are definitely not losing this nice Autumn weather we just got!

High pressure brings us some cool but sunny weather after the front passage (via NOAA Weather Prediction Center).
