Stash your sunglasses into your weekend bag as you enjoy the final rays of this Friday evening because believe it or not ladies and gentleman, the sun is here to stay. High pressure and low humidity commingle Saturday as a glorious reward for making it through an otherwise dreary and wet week.
Tonight:
Clear skies welcome us into this evening and set the tone for starting the weekend off right. A cold front trekked off slowly this morning, leaving us with drier air in its wake. Pleasant temperatures prevail through the night as high pressure begins to build and highs reach into the low 70s this evening. A light jacket will be the most conservative attire necessary to keep off any nighttime chill as lows only reach into the upper 50s to low 60s, and northerly winds stay mostly calm around 7-8 mph.
Tomorrow (Saturday):
Another cold front could attempt to crash the party Saturday morning, but like its predecessor, it will recognize it’s unwelcome and pass through quickly off the coast. As such, another dry and pleasant day will be on tap as high pressure continues to allow temperatures into the mid 70s. Tomorrow would be the perfect day to stroll around D.C., visit Artemesia Lake or Annapolis, or hit the McKeldin Mall for some sunbathing as low humidity once again allows for a cloudless sky. Light northerly winds around 5-7 mph once again allow lows to only reach the upper 50s to low 60s.
