We are only three weeks into the fall semester, and most Terps already feel like they need this weekend more than ever. Whether you are watching the football game, partying on a roof deck or at home doing homework, you will mostly enjoy the weather. We are expecting to still have this high moisture level and a nonstop 5 to 10 mph northeast wind driven by tropical storm Florence, even if we are only on the outer reach of the system.
Saturday Night
You can expect cloudy skies on Saturday night and temperatures dropping from around 78 degrees to around 69 degrees. Though it is not the most pleasant temperature, it definitely beats the sweltering days two weeks ago. We will have a cloud covered night sky so the night will not be too cold.
Sunday
Sunday’s weather is similar to Saturday’s with a higher chance of showers. The high temperature will be about 76 degrees and the low will be in the lower 70s. Expect and prepare for possible showers in the afternoon, but it will probably be short. Do not let that affect your weekend plans, as long as you can find a roof.
A Look Ahead
As tropical storm Florence moves, it will go further north inland and wrap around Maryland. It will possibly bring more moisture and precipitation to our area. Be aware of possible flooding and be prepared if you live somewhere with a low altitude and has had flooding problems before.
