Don’t forget the umbrella or poncho as you walk out the door this evening as a steady to moderate rain is expected to persist throughout the rest of today and linger into tonight. Expect cool temperatures in the low 40s tonight with continued cool weather tomorrow.
Through Tonight:
Rain is expected to taper off this evening and stop completely around midnight, bringing around a tenth to a quarter of additional precipitation. Light winds blowing from the north will bring colder temperatures to our region. Lows will range from the upper 30s in the northern suburbs to around 40 closer to DC.
Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Mostly cloudy skies with a possible hint of sunshine will make for a fairly dreary day tomorrow. Temperatures will be slightly warmer compared to Tuesday with an expected high of around 50. There will be a slight chance of a rain shower, but any rain should remain light
Tropics:
Tropical Storm Rina formed earlier today in the central Atlantic, becoming the 17th named storm of this year’s busy hurricane season. Rina is not expected to strengthen into a hurricane and possesses no threat to land as it moves north and becomes extratropical in the coming days.
