Meteorological fall is finally here and the first day will end on a cool note. The first Friday of the semester stayed pretty cloudy and reached a high of 64 degrees with mostly cloudy skies.
Through Tonight:
The remnants of what was once major Hurricane Harvey will clash with a cold frontal system, bringing soggy conditions to close off the week. Heading out this Friday night? Be sure to bring an umbrella or even stay inside with Netflix and pizza as the rain will become heavier as the night wears on. It will definitely feel like fall as the temperature could reach as low as 53 degrees so it may be a good time to bring out those flannels. A light wind will only be between 7 and 10 mph, so it won’t feel much colder outside.
Tomorrow (Saturday and GAME DAY):
College football is back and Saturday will be the perfect day to watch Maryland face-off against Texas on the big screens. Unfortunately, the showers will keep you inside for the day and to top it off, the mercury will only reach the upper 60s. The average temperature is usually in the low 80s for this time of year, so this taste of fall is coming very early. The soggy weather will stick around all day with as much as half to three quarters of an inch piling up.
