After some bitterly cold temperatures and blustery conditions over the past few days, a warming trend is in sight as we head towards the end of the work week. However, along with this warmth brings a threat of rain showers Friday night into the weekend.
Through Tonight :
The gusty winds that have made for some uncomfortable conditions over the past two days will begin to weaken as we head towards the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will not be as cold, but still chilly with lows in the upper 20s under mostly clear skies with winds out of the northwest at 5-8 mph.
Tomorrow (Friday) :
Temperatures in the morning will start off cold in the low-to-mid 30s, but quickly rise to the upper 40s, near 50 towards midday under mostly sunny skies. Moderately calm winds will make it feel closer to spring than the mid-wintery conditions we experienced over the last couple of days. Clouds and precipitation chances increase as we head into the afternoon.
In Other News :
The central and southern Plains, as well as the Southwest, will enjoy above average temperatures for this time of the year with highs reaching the low 70s under sunny skies.
