Temperatures today only reached into the upper 30s, and the strong winds made it feel even colder. While the average wind speed was around 6mph, gusts peaked up to 16 mph. Also, cloudy skies were mainly clear of precipitation throughout the region. As the sun sets, temperatures will remain steady before we head into a warmer weekend.
Through Tonight:
Sunset generally influences cooler temperatures, but tonight the thermometer won’t drop much. Temperatures will only drop into the mid-30s (just a few degrees cooler than today’s highs). Winds will be generally calm, rarely topping 5 mph. Clouds will move in as the warm weather approaches us.
Tomorrow (Saturday): Even with clouds moving in, temperatures will rise into the low 60s (in stark contrast to Friday). Winds will average around 5 mph, with gusts reaching up to 10 mph. Overall, it will be a comfortable day! Conditions should welcome respite from the freezing temperatures and high winds that come with the winter season.
