Through Tonight: Cloudy skies may have left you wondering if it’s going to rain today. Well, tonight will include a round of rain showers and possibly some freezing rain North of the District. An approaching warm front accompanied with 10-15 mph southerly winds will slightly increase overnight low temperatures, helping to change any freezing rain to rain showers throughout the night. Around 7 p.m., low temperatures will hover around the freezing mark before increasing to the mid-to-upper 30’s before 7 a.m.

Tomorrow (Wednesday): After the warm front passes, we will be starting out with mild 37-41 degree temperatures. Partly cloudy skies will allow more sunshine throughout the day. 5 to 10 mph winds flowing from the southwest will provide a dose of warmer air throughout the day with highs tapping into the mid-40s in College Park and DC. Expect mid-to-upper 40’s in Southern Maryland and closer to 40 degrees in areas north of DC. You will need your rain boots if you have nightly plans. Rain showers return in the late evening and early night hours.
