We woke up to a soggy start in Maryland but the rain moved out of the region around 11 AM. The clouds stuck around until the early afternoon bringing clear skies. The winds started picking up in the later morning hours as a front made it’s way through the region blowing from the west at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts around 35 mph. Temperatures made it to the upper 40s by the mid-afternoon hours.
Through tonight:
Temperatures will drop to the lower 40s and mid 30s tonight. This is a great star gazing night due to the minimal clouds in the sky before 1 AM when the clouds begin to emerge, though the wind will stay active between 10 and 15 mph with gusts in the 20 to 25 mph range so bundle up for the Thursday night outings.

Tomorrow (Friday):
Friday will be chilly and windy to wrap up the last work week of 2016. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s and low 40s with wind speeds of 16 to 22 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph so this is an ideal day for getting cozy with a cup of cocoa. Scattered clouds will hang around all day, increasing in the afternoon but then moving out by the evening. The sun will peak out from time to time with the chance of seeing some flurries.
