Hopefully everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and Black Friday Shopping! Calm and gray weather has been the story the last few days, but this weekend will feature some changes. A low pressure system is moving off the coast and high pressure is set to move in. Skies will clear and the sun will return on Saturday as drier air returns. However, the winds will pick up and make it feel much cooler.
Through Tonight:
Skies will start out mostly cloudy, but clear out as the night goes on. A stray chance of a shower is possible in the early evening. Winds will shift from the northeast to the northwest and be around 5-10 mph. Temperatures will dip into the lower 40s inside the beltway and upper 30s further away from the city.
Tomorrow (Saturday):
The sun will dominate the sky on Saturday as cool dry air spreads over the region. Temperatures will make it up to the lower 50s, but it will feel cooler due to a persistent northwest wind. Winds will be around 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph. Once the sun goes down temperatures will dip into the mid 30s with windy conditions sill on tap.
Sunday:
Almost a replica of Saturday as sunny skies cover the local area. High temperatures reach into the lower 50s and the winds continue to blow. They will be slightly lighter around 10 mph with gusts reaching 20 mph. Nighttime temperatures are cold and drop to around the freezing mark in the lower 30s.
