If you have been stuck inside studying for pre-Thanksgiving break midterms, you may want to take a break tomorrow and soak up some warm sunshine! By Thursday night and into Friday morning, expect plenty of clear skies. With a further look ahead, Friday and Saturday will feature 10°F above normal climatological temperatures for the Mid-Atlantic region. Take advantage! Sunday’s temperatures will trend 10°F below normal conditions.
Through Tonight: Thursday night should be mostly clear with calm winds. Despite the warmth we saw today, overnight and early Friday morning low temperatures will be chilly. Expect minimum temperatures to drop into the upper 30’s and low 40’s in the College Park area and near the District, respectively.
Tomorrow (Friday): Though it feels much like Fall, Friday will make you second-guess whether it’s time to break out those comfy sweaters and hot cider. Clear skies and ample sunshine will allow high temperatures to climb into the upper 60s (perfect day to get your Vitamin D). If you’re heading out for some Friday night fun, grab a coat– the overnight low will drop into the low- to mid-40s in College Park and mid-40s in DC. Light winds will stick around for the remainder of the day and throughout the night.
Weekend Outlook: Due to an approaching cold front, upper-60 degree temperatures will fall throughout the day and winds will become a bit breezy. By Saturday night, we look forward to a dramatic drop in temperatures along with a small chance of showers. Sunday’s high temperature looks to be around the upper 40s (about 20°F lower than Saturday). Time for that hot cider!
